Gibbons Vetoes DB Bill - Act today!

After successfully passing both the Nevada Senate and Assembly, the domestic partnership legislation (SB 283) was vetoed by Governor Jim Gibbons on Memorial Day. We anticipate that the legislature will attempt to override this veto, but the vote totals from the initial passage were just under the two-thirds needed to override. Now we need you to take action and tell the Governor and the legislators who voted "No" that you're frustrated and disappointed.

This is legislation that would permit any couples—same-sex or opposite-sex—to enter into domestic partnerships and receive access to essentially all the rights, benefits, and responsibilities under Nevada law that are granted to spouses. Please send a clear message today!
