This Afternoon, the Nevada Assembly voted to over ride Governor Gibbon's veto of SB 283, establishing domestic partnerships in the State of Nevada.

This is a tremendous victory.  This bill allows those couples who choose to register as domestic partners nearly all the same rights and benefits afforded to spouses under state law. Read More »

After successfully passing both the Nevada Senate and Assembly, the domestic partnership legislation (SB 283) was vetoed by Governor Jim Gibbons on Memorial Day. We anticipate that the legislature will attempt to override this veto, but the vote totals from the initial passage were just under the two-thirds needed to override. Read More »
