The HRC Las Vegas Gala is the largest fundraising event of the year for the nation’s largest civil rights organization. It is the most successful political organization in America with a 97% success rate in getting fair minded officials elected through races across the nation in the last major election year. HRC seeks equality for Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, and Transgender (LGBT) Americans.

In its third year, the Las Vegas Gala was supported by a host of small and large businesses alike; such as Virgen Advertising, Lewis & Roca, QVegas, Cirque du Soleil, LT Eventions, MGMMirage and Harrah’s Entertainment. With nearly 700 attendees and national and local dignitaries, the Gala dinner raised funds to fight for fair minded elected officials and laws which protect the community against hate crimes and discriminatory practices in communities across the United States.

The event was held at Mandalay Bay Resort on September 6, 2008. The theme last year was Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Equality. Awardees are R&R Partners for the Pioneer Award, and Virgen Advertising for the Community Hero Award.
